The wires that go to the PCM, one is a duty cycle signal that tell the PCM how the module is working, the other one I guess is a signal coming from the PCM that tells the module how to operate the pump, which kind of signal is this, is it a PWM or an analog signal referred to the ground?Īnd which is which (WHT/YEL from pin 6 and LT BLU/ORG from pin 1). The only doubt is that mine doesn't seem to be damaged, looking from the outside, no rust or holes, nothing, but there is no negative signal from the module to the pump. These signals are used to give the powertrain control module information. So I'm gonna order the part and wait (I'm in Italy.) You have to pay around an additional 100 for the labor cost. If you find the ratings and reviews are good, there is nothing to stop you from buying that product. Since you don’t want the thing to go bad too often, we suggest you buy a premium one. Towed it back to the mech and it turned out that the FPDM seem to be bad, if I bypass it coonnecting directly the power to the pump, it start with no problem (even if P1233 is still there). You will need around 60 to 120 to get a good fuel pump control module. Picked up the car last friday, leaving a check of 1250 Euros (about US$ 1670 -800+ only for the pump!!!).Īfter about 25 miles during which I stopped about 3 times, the 4th times it didn't restart. Same boat here, changed fuel pump first, 'cause the mech said it was getting power but didn't turn, fuel filter was also in bad conditiond, this maybe causing the pump to go bad.
